Meet Rashieda Arend

Rashieda Arend, Head of Sales at Rebar Cash and Carry comes with a wealth of experience within the industry. With over 32 years of experience, Rashieda understands clients’ needs, requirements and the urgency of providing excellent products and services. She has extensive knowledge on ensuring accurate quotes are sent out to clients and ensuring on-time delivery.

 

A little more about Rashieda Arend:
Rashieda started her construction career at BRC Weldmesh in the late 80’s where her duties included data capturing and administration.

She was then employed at Hulse Reinforcing in Cape Town for a period of 5 years, where she was responsible for internal sales and invoicing.

1999 to 2010:

Rashieda relocated to Johannesburg in 1999 and was employed at Amalgamated Reinforcing which later merged with Steeledale (Pty) Ltd.

 

Rashieda worked her way up the ranks throughout her 20 years of service with Steeledale.

 

Her role included planning, production and weigh-bridge. She was also responsible for optimisation, incoming goods control, cut sheets, sequence reports, timesheets, delivery notes, invoicing, buying as well as overseeing the cutting and bending operation.

 

Rashieda was later transferred to Steeledale’s newly opened branch in Germiston where she worked as an assistant to the branch manager for 3 years (2010 to 2013). Her tasks included admin, ordering and buying.

In 2014 when the Germiston branch closed, Rashieda was transferred to the Wadeville branch where she was responsible for sales and pricing tenders. Rashieda was employed until 2019 when the company closed down.

 

Rashieda has been employed as Head of Sales at Rebar Cash and Carry since September 2020. We firmly believe in Rashieda’s capabilities. Rashieda comes with not only many years’ of sales experience but also has a deep understanding of clients needs. She is flexible and adapts to change easily. Rashieda’s passion for people and sales is reflected in her work and the relationships she has built over the years.

 

Rashieda has experience on a number of systems including Akron, Arma + and Rebartags.
